However, I do eat a small amount, which are fig newtons. I just grab one or two as I walk out the door to go run. What are you eating now before a 3-5 mile run? I also do my runs in the morning after drinking only coffee. I bought a bag of Tailwind and will start using it for my "longer" runs. I am fine with coffee for 4 miles but need more in my stomach if I want to run longer.
