But it was exactly like you say, I couldn't enjoy my time off or do anything fun because I had to keep looking for a job. For every job change since then I've had to do the "closet job search" where I was constantly running outside or to the bathroom to take calls and having endless "doctor's appointments" to go on interviews. Remote job searching was so much easier. I could be on LinkedIn all day without anyone seeing and could just block off my calendar for interviews without anyone knowing.Birchwood Piehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01504702778025456387noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2862780880843779940.post-46895937000778624342021-06-23T14:32:50.740-04:002021-06-23T14:32:50.740-04:00Yay! It was so weird to be able to do what I wanted any time of day. Unfortunately it was stressful because I was looking for a job the whole time. Then I got 2 offers on the same day and started right away.Darlenehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15383271437202673669noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2862780880843779940.post-36854706049523571342021-06-22T18:38:26.232-04:002021-06-22T18:38:26.232-04:00Congrats on the new job and closure (well, in thre...Congrats on the new job and closure (well, in three weeks) of the other. What a turn of events with the startup and your former boss. That sounds like a win-win. I'm so happy for you!!

The podcast must have been very inspirational for your quitting process (btw thanks for the link to that article). In Switzerland, our quitting period is usually 3 months - I've even had 6 months. 3 weeks sounds amazing to me!

Enjoy the feeling - looking forward to seeing all your new cooking creations and book recommendations.Catrinahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05813581612058054899noreply@blogger.com
