Weekly Eats: Pirate's Eye Edition

A weekly round up: eats, watches, and reads.  This week I ran my first successful half marathon (how do you know if someone has run a half marathon?  Don't worry they'll tell you;-) but the side effect was that I totally ran out of ideas of what to eat all week long.  I learned that the secret to meal amnesia is to make grilled white BBQ chicken, pasta with meat sauce, and let your husband cook you pirate's eyes for breakfast.

Weekly Sweats: Half Marathon #2 is in the books

A couple of things happened yesterday:
1.  I ran my 2nd half marathon
2.  I fell in love with the half marathon
3.  Oh BTW, I completed my first marathon, with a finish time of 5 years and 2 days.  Confused?  Let me 'splain myself.

Weekly Eats: Chicken Week


A weekly round up: eats, watches, and reads.  I believe I've eaten more chicken this week than I have in my life, partly due to an incredible grilled chicken recipe.  And I went on a massive Trader Joe's binge.

But first, a blog announcement!  The Weekly Eats posts will no longer include my workouts.  If you go back to my first weekly eats post, my workout recap was just one sentence long.  Today things are just a bit different, and it's time for the workouts to spin off from the eats and have their own weekly recap.  Going forward I'll do a weekly sweat recap on Sundays and a weekly eats (plus TV and reads) recap on Mondays.  So go back one post if you want to read about workouts, and stay here if you're in it for the food.

Weekly Eats: Double Digit Edition

A weekly round up: eats, workouts, watches, and reads.  This week's highlights: the return of our favorite chicken fajitas, a Trader Joe's Haul, a short business trip, and a single girl weekend while my men went to boy scout camp.  Running was all over the place this week, starting with burnout, then time off, and then my first double digit mileage since May.
