Weekly Eats: Short n'Sweet

A weekly roundup: eats, watches, and reads.  This is going to be another abbreviated post, because guess what...I worked a lot this week.

On the breakfast front, we have a nice routine going on Saturday mornings.  Hubs makes waffles, I make air fryer bacon.

On the lunch front, I've gone the convenience route with Costco's bean and cheese burritos.

On the dinner front, we made lasagna last Sunday and ate off of that for a few days.  When it was gone we had Costco's orange chicken and egg rolls.

I made my perennial favorite of spinach artichoke pasta for our Sunday dinner.  For me the pasta is a complete meal, and everyone else has a side of air fried Costco panko chicken.

Watching

I finished season 3 of Shtisel.   I can't tell if that's it or if there will be another season.  If I had a vote, I'd keep this show on for as long as Gray's Anatomy.

Reading

Very close to finishing When the Stars Go Dark by Paula McLain.  Again, I love, love, love this book.

Fingers crossed, I should get a break with my workload after this week!  Maybe.

  1. A big workload = favourable reviews = bonus = another Garmin!
I saw in our weekly review that your enjoying your new watch. Good for you!

I watched "The Serpent" over the last two weeks. It's based on a true story about a guy who systematically killed tourists in Thailand in the 1970s to finance his lifestyle. Very intriguing.

  2. Face palm! I’d forgotten about Shtisel! We saw the first season, and I spaced off watching it after that. Anyways, now I’m hungry for lasagna...that is one of my favorite leftover meals.

    1. The hype is justified!!! I promise that you will not be disappointed in Stars.

Hmm...I know that I would like Spanakopita pasta. I wonder if the kids would be into it or if they'd just think it was a weird mac n'cheese.

    1. I really don't like to dis shows but I can make an exception for The Sinner...everyone raved about it and I'm just here like eww on the detective's kinks and WTF with the "someone sees something that they shouldn't so the obvious answer is to kidnap that person and inject them with heroin until they become an addict"??? Sorry not sorry for the spoiler but IRL they would have either killed her or paid her off.
